In this video he demonstrates four types of meditation:
- irvikalpa - closed eyes
- nirvikalpa - open eyes
- sahaj
- mantra-savikalpa
He says he’s using a Mind Mirror EEG. I didn’t find one for sale, but I found people saying they cost $3000-4000.
There’s also an open source project to build one: OpenEEG The cost for parts is supposed to be $300-400.
Some of his language toward the end probably doesn’t make any sense if you haven’t read his books. I think A Brief History of Everything is the best introduction to his philosophy, but I haven’t read anything of his in a few years. It’s definitely worth considering.
